Lactose
It is a disaccharide, what means that it is made from two sacharide molecules. It is called the milk sugar because it occurs mostly in milk and dairy products.
It is fissured by Lactase enzyme to glucose and galactose. Lactase enzyme is created mostly in childhood and babyhood. The production of this enzyme decreases with growing age and some people do not have its sufficiency.
A lactase enzyme defection causes getting of undistributed lactose in guts and it may bring up digestive problems (stomachache, diarrhoea).
